DIY | Hunger Games Tee
I've been searching around online for quite a while and haven't found a Hunger Games shirt that I really like. I'm not a fan of black shirts with fire on them ... AT ALL, and that's pretty much all I've seen. I decided I was going to have to make my own. I went to Walmart and bought a black blank tee, a set of wooden letters and some gold glitter fabric puff paint.
1. I lined up the wooden letters onto the shirt to figure out my placement. (NOTE: I placed cardboard inside the shirt, so not to let the paint seep through to the back)
2. One-by-one I dipped the wooden letters into a silver acrylic paint I found lying around my room and placed them back on the shirt (like a stamp). This left a light, but traceable mark.
3. I then went back with the gold fabric paint, tracing and filling in each letter.
4. Let the shirt dry for about 3+ hours, just to make sure not to mess it up.
Now I'm all ready for the midnight premiere. Only 12 more hours until it begins :)
