2015 Target Christmas Haul

You'd like to think that starting a new year, it's all about purging and minimizing...then there's 70% and 90% off holiday items at Target and you lose your ever-loving mind! Okay...just me? I like to call the hunt for this yearly clearance, my "favorite hobby." It truly is, y'all. (FIY: There are more folks like me on All Things Target) During the days of December 30 - January 6, I had to have stopped into a Target 12-15 times. Probably more. I didn't even keep count! 

I have my two favorite go-to Target locations that I know are always full of leftover Christmas supplies, but this year, I was surprised to see that almost all the stores I frequent had a little bit leftover too! They totally threw me off the usual schedule (both 70% and 90% happened 3 days later than the norm), but luckily I was still able to check each and every day. My rules of thumb are: never purchase anything at 50% off, purchase rare/awesome items at 70% off and purchase anything and everything at 90% off.

I'd love to share the goods I got, but I can't tell you whether I got them at 70% or 90% off. I shopped so much, I lost receipts and it's definitely all a blur. First up, here's the food items I scored (mainly for my husband and his lucky students):

Next up, the pretty stuff! I plan on having my first colorfully-decorated Christmas tree next year, so I was thrilled with all the ornaments I got. In one store (Frisco, I believe), I was sitting on the floor of an aisle, looking like an idiot, rummaging through boxes and boxes of stuff! Totally don't care how I looked because that's how I ended up with all those beautifully cute balloon ornaments! Also, Threshold items, which are normally slightly discounted with a red tag, rang up at 70% and 90% too! Good times, my friends.

This may just be my best Christmas haul yet! I can't wait to open it all back up at the end of next fall and put these colorful decorations out. It'll be like opening my first gift of the holiday! I can't wait.
