Makeup Photo Library

I'm not really into makeup like some of the amazing beauty bloggers I follow. I'm completely mesmerized by their transformations and techniques, but it's just not my thing. Makeup for me just serves the purpose of - I know I have to wear this to go to work and be a contributing member of society, therefor I must have it. I don't want to get creative with it. I don't need it to have lasting coverage. I just need it to get me through 4:30 p.m. every day. Then, I get to take it off during my afternoon commute with the makeup remover wipes that I keep in my car.

With all that being said, I don't own a whole lot of makeup. All of mine can fit in a pretty small travel bag. However, whenever I run out of something and end up on the aisle of the drug store hunting it down, I cannot ever remember what exactly I'm supposed to buy, without a specific list. If I do remember the type, I forget what color. Usually I'm the lightest (transparent, as they call my skin tone), but there's a few exceptions.

One night when I was cleaning out my bathroom shelves, I decided to make a makeup product library, that way I don't have to remember the specifics of each item whenever I'm shopping. It was pretty simple to do and only took me about 30 minutes to complete.

I used a black and gold spiral notebook planner as my background and snapped the photos with my phone. For some of the more rounded and rollier items, I just stuck them down with a piece of double-sided tape.

When I was done, I collaged them all together to complete the "library" and I can keep in my phone photos for future shopping lists reference.

I think this will be a super time-saver as I won't have to track down and try to remember each piece that I begrudgingly put on my face each and every day. Makeup shopping list: CHECK!
