2021 Target Christmas Haul
It was Sunday morning, the day after Christmas, we were all hanging out at home minding our own business when the news broke across the ‘gram that Target marked down all holiday items 70% off (Thanks to the heads up from Jessica at The Mom Creative and AllThingsTarget). In these unprecedented times, we might as well have something unheard of also happen at our favorite red store! It never drops to 70% off that quickly.
I wasn’t able to run out right away, so I waited until Monday to load up the kiddo and give Milo a true rite of passage; his first Target trip. He takes up ALL the space in the cart, perhaps stopping me from buying too much. Maybe bringing him along is in my best interest?
Once Coach’s practice was over, I dropped off the 13 pounds of a not-so-interested baby and headed to another store on my own. I actually grabbed a lot more than I thought I had…doesn’t that always happen, though? Oops. Here’s the haul:
I don’t feel like I just hoarded super unnecessary things (although, I’m sure my minimal sister would disagree), but two of the things I got I’m so proud of.
First up, clothes for the kid. I’ve never clearance shopped for my own little one, so that was a little bit of extra fun. There happened to be so many baby Christmas pjs in size 12 months, so I snagged them all. The way Milo is growing, I’m not so sure he will fit next year, but for 70% off, it’s worth the try. The other items he can wear now, which is perfect because he’s busting at the seams of most of his jammies..and, if he’s wearing Christmas jams in February, who’s to know anyway.
My other favorite find was the Lego stockings! I grabbed all the ones my store had, but I sure wish I had a set of 4 of each size. The extra large ones are awesome; at three feet tall, that’s the kind of stocking I want Santa to fill for me!
Not sure if I’ll make it out when things get to be 90% off. It takes quite a bit more planning and logistics for me to leave the house than it used to. Once the little one realizes the magic of Target, maybe I’ll be able to make it out a little bit more…that, and the pandemic isn’t raging with contagion…there’s always that.
