I'll admit, I've never been to a tailor and I have no idea off the top of my head what any of my measurements are. This results in my closet being full of loose-fitting cotton sundresses that could probably fit a girl a couple of sizes smaller or larger than me. A few weeks ago, I got the opportunity to order my very own custom eShakti dress. For the first time in my life I grabbed a measuring tape and got to business..the business of getting a grown-up piece of clothing.
Once I finally picked out the dress I loved the most (it took me a while, I liked a lot of them), there were so many different ways for me to customize my order. Not only can it fit perfectly according to your specific measurements, but many of the clothes can be altered by sleeve-length, dress-length, omitting pockets and/or changing the type of neckline. The buying process is so simple, yet you're getting a very unique piece, just for you.
They also seem to have new items every time I've logged on. I'm going to stay on the lookout for their next round of cute colors and patterns. Oh, and they definitely aren't just about dresses. They have tops, cardigans and skirts as well.

I kept my dress pretty much the same as the original in neckline and sleeves, but I had the skirt cut off a bit to fit my short stature. Us shorties don't really ever get to own mini-skirts or dresses...average clothing is always awkwardly long on us!
I love that eShakti dresses come with pockets (you may also choose to take them away when ordering). I'd prefer putting my iPhone and keys away in pockets over having to worry about coordinating a purse, any day!
Having a dress that zips up and fits my body is a first for me....but, I'm definitely enjoying it. I may have to say "farewell" to all those loose-fitters and go for more tailored looks. It's definitely not hard to get used to.
Although this navy & black illusion dress caught my eye first (love at first sight sort of thing), I knew I had to share a few of my other favorites with you all as well. There are just way too many cuties to focus on only one.
