Colleyville Cans Film Festival

This post is sponsored by SMG, but all opinions are my own.

When this small-town girl moved to the "big city" of Denton for college, there were quite a few things my new city-friends knew about that I didn't. First off, there are bakeries that solely sell multi-flavors of cupcakes. Cupcakes and only cupcakes. There's a coffee shop around every corner. And, most importantly, you can eat dinner AT the movie theater. Food. With. Movies. Yes, guys. I did not know about the glories of Studio Movie Grill until I was 18 years old.

Ever since I was brought into the light in college, it's still one of my favorite outings. As we all get a little older (24, tomorrow!) and this whole adult-work-life starts settling in, our time is pretty limited (especially on week worknights). We don't have time to plan an hour-long dinner, plus venture out to a 2-hour movie. It's just not possible. That's what makes Studio Movie Grill so great. It's the time-saving, all-in-one.

As the big Festival de Cannes wraps up in France, SMG is celebrating with a "Cans" of their own. The brand-new Colleyville location is celebrating their opening weekend with charitable giving and perks for participants.

Through the "Cans Film Festival" you can get a free movie ticket for every two canned goods or non-perishable food items brought in. There is no limit! If you have a family of five, you can bring in 10 canned goods and receive 5 tickets. The tickets are good for the duration of the festival, May 30-June 1.

Summer movie season has already begun, which makes this offer even better! With your free can-tickets, you can see the mysterious Maleficent, action-packed X-Men: Days of Future Past (which my husband said is amazing) or take the kiddos to have some laughs at Rio 2.

The Can Fest is only at the new Colleyville location: 5655 Colleyville Blvd Colleyville, TX 76034!
