Dancing Across The Nation
When your Dad is on national television, you have to brag about it, right? My parents are Spring Breaking in New York City (prop to being high school educators is getting a Spring Break every year). They're visiting all the major landmarks, visiting my best friends and checking out shows like Letterman, Live with Kelly and Michael and Good Morning America.
As we always knew he could, Dad earned the coveted spot as Trivia Dancer during yesterday's Live with Kelly and Michael. His awesome dance moves (or "move," there's really only one) have been seen at countless proms, weddings and church functions across East Texas for decades. Now, the whole nation got a little piece of it too! Plus, Kelly Rips and Michael Strahan chatted with him a bit (which may have left him a little nervous, celeb-shocked and speechless).
While the show hasn't posted the whole episode, a lot of our friends on Facebook did! You can see all the dancing here. The show did post a little bit of the segment on their instagram page, which is really hilarious. Random women are calling my dad "cute," y'all!
Dad's always been pretty famous in our neck of the woods, but it's nice for him to get a few seconds of national fame too! If you know where I can find a replica brown shirt with neon-ish smiley face, let me know. It was the shows, but I'd love to get him one to remember the day!
