Gran in the Big City

My Gran came up to the big city for a visit this past weekend. Besides our wedding, I don't think she's been up to Dallas in a very very very long time! Mom, Dad and my sister were coming to visit Coach and I anyway, and Gran decided to come along too. She got to tour our apartment and then we took her out for some lunch and entertainment.

Our first stop was to Klyde Warren Park for some food truck food. Most of us went for Abe's Flavor Flave tacos and the rest of us got The Butcher's Son (including nutter-butter tots, which were great!).

After plenty of laughs and people-watching, we went to visit the Dallas Museum of Art. Gran has always been a talented painter herself, so she really enjoyed looking at the some of the pieces.

After a failed attempt at visiting the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum (we arrived about 15 minutes before it closed), we headed over to Sprinkles Ice Cream for the first time for my parents and Gran. My sister and I got our usual (mini sprinkles sundae), dad got sorbet (which proved to be a tiny bit tart) and Gran got the tiniest little cone you've ever seen.

I loved spending time with Gran here in my city.
She'll have to come back soon because we have plenty more to see!
